Gaze is a poignant picture book inspired by the Sewol Ferry tragedy of April 16, 2014. Through the journey of a mythical sea turtle searching the dark depths of the ocean for the eyes of lost children, the story explores remembrance, grief, truth, and healing. With powerful symbolic imagery, Kim Hwi-hoon reminds us that facing painful truths and keeping the memories of the victims alive are essential steps toward comfort and healing.
