This story unfolds as two Eun-yus living in different times exchange letters: while the 2016 Eun-yu lives through one year, the 1982 Eun-yu experiences twenty years. This disparity in pace transforms their relationship in myriad ways, drawing them into each other’s worlds, once utterly foreign.

In 2016, Eun-yu feels unsettled as her father prepares to remarry. She is about to gain a mother she has never known, yet she knows nothing about the woman who gave birth to her. Her mother is shrouded in such secrecy that Eun-yu doubts she even existed. Moreover, her father is practically absent, and the presence of ‘that woman’ who will become her stepmother feels uncomfortable. To this troubled Eun-yu, her father suggests writing a letter to herself one year in the future.

Strangely, Eun-yu’s letter travels back 34 years and lands in the hands of another Eun-yu living in 1982. The past Eun-yu, suspicious of the letter full of new slang and suspecting a spy, and the present Eun-yu, mistakenly thinking someone is pranking her with replies. Their relationship, which started with friction, gradually unravels misunderstandings starting with a ‘lucky coin,’ evolving into a bond where they share worries and secrets.
